Our Mission
Our aim is to nurture a culture of reading across schools by introducing children to beautiful books, leaving them motivated to read more. We want children to feel excited about comprehension lessons, using them as an opportunity to engage in discussions about texts and authors. By providing PowerPoint presentations and PDF activities we hope to reduce teacher workload. To improve children’s confidence with comprehension, we wanted to create resources that explicitly focus on one or two reading skills at a time.

Our Goals
We set out to create engaging, ready-to-use whole class reading resources based on hand-selected texts of high quality.
We work directly with publishers to ensure our resources are made using the highest-quality children’s literature on the market. Every text is chosen for its exciting prose, important themes and suitability for the 21st century classroom.

Book-Inspired Lessons
Our lessons introduce children to a high-quality books by dipping in to a chapter or two through whole class teaching. Each book-based pack contains 1-4 lessons.
Not only will each lesson give your classes a great opportunity to collaborate and apply their reading skills, but they will increase pleasure for reading too.
Each lesson has a downloadable PowerPoint presentation and printable PDF activities. Some of the text extracts are included.
Reading Skills
Our lessons teach reading skills explicitly to support children in interrogating a text confidently.
We have broken down the reading skills detailed in the National Curriculum into 14 child-friendly areas of mastery and built our resources around them.
