Lesson 1

First start by unscrambling the anagrams to reveal the world cup teams. Then find out some key information about Neymar and Brazil to contextualise the book. Once the children have read chapter two together, they can then write summary notes which they can then use to help them respond to a set of retrieval cards.

Lesson 2

Start with matching the flags to their country. Building on previous lessons, children continue reading chapter 20 and then complete a summary activity using the statement cards.
