Lesson Overview

A range of activities to support KS2 topic Evolution and Inheritance.

Lesson 1: Making predictions based on the front cover and pre-teaching vocabulary. Followed by an inference activity where children choose key words and find evidence in the text to support their selection.

Lesson 2: Summary warm up activity to recap and build on previous lesson. Followed by a retrieval activity which an additional challenge. After, children follow a similar format to create their own questions for their learning partner.

Lesson 3: Finally, using the collector’s equipment cards, children test each other to see if they can identify what is missing. The journey can’y go ahead without the right equipment!
